videoCast for Chromecast is designed to be very simple and efficient application that will allow you to cast video content from a media server in the local network to your TV having Google Chromecast.

If not connected to a Google Chromecast it will play the video on the mobile device using the VLC video player which supports quite wide range of video and audio codecs, subtitles and multiple audio tracks.

Additionally there is an integration with Rotten Tomatoes movies database for displaying movie details with ratings and etc.

Media server content access via DLNA / UPnP. Supported standards:
Video containers: MP4, WebM, MOV, MKV* and AVI*
Video codecs: H.264, VP8 and others*
Audio codecs: AC-3, HE-AAC, LC-AAC, CELT/Opus, MP3, Vorbis, WAV
Subtitles: TTML, WebVTT, CEA-608, SRT*
